Clomid success rates

From my research on clomid success rates, I have found that there have been many variations on the results. Different websites have published what they think are definitive clomid success rates and if they are all correct then there is a small hope for many couples who want to try their luck using the clomid fertility drug.

Pregnancy.emedtv.com report that clinical studies show approximately 30% of women who are on doses of clomid successfully conceive. While their results indicate a low conception rate, they also note that many of the women in these studies had fertility problems that are well known for not responding to clomid.

Babyhopes.com report that 40 to 80 percent of women who take clomid have success in ovulation, where one or more fertile eggs are released. From this percentage, only 50 percent were known to conceive during the following six months. These statistics do coincide with the 30% result of women who fall pregnant (pregnancy.emedtv.com) and therefore looks to be correct.

The clomid success rates also depend on several other factors, as follows;

1. If you are having ovulation problems.

Clomid is effective for women who have ovulation problems because of the way that it works. Clomid reacts with a variety of tissues in the body that have estrogen receptors by influencing the way that hormones work in the body. Clomid tricks the body into believing that estrogen is low, which then leads to the release of one or more mature eggs - hence the good reports for clomid success rates.

2. Whether or not your partner has any infertility issues.

This does not have a direct impact on clomid; however, if your partner has a low sperm count or weak sperm, then clomid will be less effective due to your partners sperm having to work harder to penetrate the egg. In this instance it would be a good idea to have your partner increase his fertility by exercising, a diet check and cutting out alcohol, smoking or drugs if applicable.

3. How long after your clomid course do you have intercourse?

After completing your clomid doses, you should have at least five days before ovulation occurs. In this time, it is recommended you have intercourse because this is part of the time when you are most fertile. If you leave it too late then it will minimize your chances of getting pregnant and contribute to the statistics of unsuccessful clomid success rates.

Although clomid success rates sit around 30 percent, it is a relatively cheap fertility drug when comparing it to other forms of fertility treatment and doctors usually want to try this before resorting to one of the more serious forms of infertility treatment methods.

Alternatively, some women are turning to more traditional eastern world methods with good results.  This is where we suggest looking into our Preganancy Miracle product, a holistic and ancient Chinese system for getting pregnant and having healthy children. It has proven to produce the best results in terms of conceiving when women thought they never could, and after doctors have told them they can’t. If you are having any fertility issues then I would strongly recommend looking into Pregnancy Miracle.
